Whoa! A python eats porcupine and dies Instantly

Man uses nude photo of female victims to blackmail (photo)

A 35 -year-  old man, Michael Atanda, who  has been threatening to expose nude pictures of four ladies on the social media if they fail to pay money into his account has been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.

Atanda, a computer science National Diploma holder of a popular computer school based in Ikeja, was arrested on Thursday by the Decoy Team of the Rapid Response Squad after about five days of baiting and monitoring.

Atanda, an ex – convict and a father of three, had collected N121,000:00 from his four girlfriends with the threat but wanted the ladies to pay more or face the consequences of leaking their nude pictures on social media.

Operating as Segun Bayo on facebook and a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile – Ife, Atanda said he went about adding several ladies on facebook. And, that after two weeks, he would start chatting with them.

“The profile picture on my facebook account is that of a guy based in London, and so as part of my introductions to ladies, I tell them that, I am a Construction Engineer as well as that my parents and I are living Europe" the suspect said

He continued that " After sometime, I would lure them into sexual conversations during which, I persuaded them to send their nude pictures to me. They would send and I would send mine to them too" .
" Before that I would pretended that I was seeking a serious relationship with them, and that very soon, I would be coming to Abuja on a business trip, during which I would see them”, he stated.

The suspect continued that “I would again feign my seriousness by calling them with the aid of computer software that transforms my Nigerian line into an international line.

Meanwhile, I would warn them that I was calling through a public phone booth. As soon as they have sent their nude pictures, I would come up with all manners of stories. I would begin to extort and blackmail them.

Through this means, I have collected over N121, 000:00 from my latest victims.

I was jailed last years in a similarly circumstance after fraudulently collecting N700, 000:00 from a lady I met through a dating site. I was eventually bailed but the case is still pending in court" he confessed.

He further confessed that " I have collected only 10,000:00 from Funmilola, Motunrayo, N6,000, Joy, N5,000 and Lizzy, N100,000:00”.

A source within RRS disclosed that apart from Lizzy, who reported the incident but declined to press charges, three other suspects, who were discovered during investigations, acknowledged on phone calls they have been paying the suspect so that he doesn’t leak their nude photographs online.

The source added that even though, investigators have reached out to more victims after checking the suspect’s facebook conversations with a number of ladies.

All of them have refused to come forward, after confirming they were paying the suspect through his bank statement.

The source added that out the 210 friends on his Facebook, over 195 are young ladies.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Suprintendent Dolapo Badmos, said that the Police were  carrying out a thorough investigation on the case to aid prosecution.

The suspect has been transferred to SCID for further investigations.

Adrienne Bailon weds gospel singer Israel Houghton in Paris

Singer/The Real co-host Adrienne Bailon and gospel singer Israel Houghton are married. The couple recently tied the knot at the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris in front of close family and friends. Bailon tells People magazine:

16 year old girl missing after her older boyfriend allegedly kills her mom and younger sister

A 21-year-old Texas man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of his much-younger girlfriend’s mother and little sister, a day after authorities put out an Amber Alert for the missing teenager. Kirsten Nicole Fritch, 16, has been missing since Tuesday, when her mother and sister were found dead in their Baytown home.
Officers conducting a wellness check Tuesday morning discovered the bodies of Cynthia Morris, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter, Breanna Pavilicek, each shot at least once, officials said.

Morris’ mother had called 911, saying she had been unable to get in touch with her daughter or her granddaughters, and that her daughter had also not shown up for work, Baytown Police said. The grandmother went by her daughter's home and when she found the front door slightly open, she called police, officials said.

Investigators determined that Morris’ car, a white, Chrysler PT Cruiser, was missing. Morris’ older daughter, Fritch, was also nowhere to be found.

An Amber Alert was issued for the teen, who investigators said was last seen with her older boyfriend, 21 year old, Jesse Dobbs. The pair had been dating and Morris was against the relationship.

“Detectives are considering Mr. Dobbs a person of interest at this time and are concerned about the welfare of the 16-year-old,” police said Tuesday.

Dobbs was found with Morris’ car Tuesday night, authorities said.

A father-of-two and an avid user of social media, Dobbs wrote on Instagram: “I love my kids. I’m focusing on being a father.” “Looking for the one,” he posted on Instagram 12 weeks ago.

But others said Dobbs seemed troubled, saying that he had recently threatened violence.

Neighbor William Baron told KHOU that Dobbs suffered from drug addiction saying:

“He told me the other day that, ‘I am numb, I don’t care what I do, if I kill somebody, I kill somebody.”

"To stop human trafficking, look at root causes"- says Nigerian survivor as she meets with Pope Francis

Nigerian victim of human trafficking, Princess Inyang said helping the victims of trafficking is not enough but we must go to the root to solve the problem.

Inyang, along with two other victims of trafficking, Al Bangura and Crystal, shared their testimonies with Pope Francis during an audience between the Pope and members of the Santa Marta Group on October 27th.


The Santa Marta Group is an alliance of international police chiefs and bishops from across the world who work together with civil society to eradicate human trafficking and provide pastoral care to victims. The group was launched by Pope Francis in April 2014 with the goal of developing strategies in prevention, pastoral care and re-integration through the international network.

"When we are spending money only for the victims, more are coming (through trafficking), hearing the news that if you come, you have a place to stay, you have food to eat, you have clothes to wear, and you can go to school." she said.

Inyang herself became a victim of human trafficking in 1999, when she was promised that she would receive a good job in Europe as a cook, the job she had in her home country of Nigeria. But instead, she was trafficked. Her captors brought her through London and France and eventually to Italy, where she was forced into prostitution and to pay back her “debt” of 45,000,000 euros. She was eventually able, with help, to escape her traffickers, and has since founded the organization PIAM Onlus to help victims of prostitution.

"I am a living testimony of the dangers and atrocities to which many Nigerian women are subjected," she said. "My heart bleeds for joy whenever I can help one."

Inyang said there are several important root causes of trafficking in Nigeria which must be addressed. First, it is essential to break up the networks of traffickers leading from Nigeria through Niger and into Libya, and from there to Europe.

In addition, the lack of jobs must be taken into consideration. One of the reasons many youth, especially from rural areas, are tricked into joining traffickers is due to a lack of jobs, she said. Young people often drop out of high school and are then unable to pursue additional education, she said, recalling that when she talks to victims, many say, "I dropped out from secondary school because my parents did not have money."

One solution, according to Inyang, would be for the local government to establish farms and factories to employ young people.

"Because most of the people in Nigeria, after they finish school – they don’t even have a job. So they are confused. Why should I continue going to school, when after I don’t have any job? So our government should at least create some job opportunities for the youth."

Another major issue Inyang identified is the lack of leadership and provision by fathers. Often, when a man has two or three wives, he has many children and ends up neglecting his family, she said. Because of this, it is frequently only the women who are working to support the family and there is not enough money.

"And then it is that most of the men don’t work for the family, but they want the youth to work for them. The Bible says that we should train up our child in the way of the Lord, so that when he will grow, he will not depart from it," she said. "This must be taught in the churches, in the schools, that your children are not the ones who suffer for you, that you are the parent."

In his remarks, Pope Francis said that what is needed in the fight against trafficking is a concerted effort, effective and consistent, both to eliminate the causes of this complex phenomenon, and to meet, assist and accompany people who fall into the snares of trafficking.

"These victims are the most vulnerable, who are stolen dignity, physical and mental integrity, even their lives," the Pope said. "The Lord will reward what is done to these little ones in today’s society, Jesus said: ‘I was hungry ... I was thirsty ... and you helped me’; today he could also say: ‘I was abused, exploited, enslaved ... and you’ve helped me"

The Simpsons predicted Trump's victory 16 years ago

In a 2000 episode of popular cartoon, The Simpsons titled Bart To The Future, Donald Trump was president. The iconic cartoon's creator, Matt Groening, said Trump was the most absurd joke name they could think of at that time and that was why his character was featured:

'Trump was of course the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time, and that’s still true. It’s beyond satire.' 

  Dan Greaney, a writer for the Simpsons also said that the clip had a dark message behind it:
