Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal team-mates have become the latest side to take up the mannequin challenge sweeping the internet of recent.

Ronaldo, as always, stole the limelight as he posed in just white pants while the majority of his colleagues wore training kit.
The Portugal star, showed off his athletic physique with this one as he is seen frozen in the middle of Portugal's dressing room while the rest of the other team members pose in various other positions while the scene is filmed.

Southampton defender Jose Fonte can also be seen, having medical tape put on his ankle while William Carvalho is preparing to take a selfie.

2018 WC qualifier: Victor Moses & Mikel Obi turn Uyo ecstatic as Nigeria defeat Algeria 3-1

It was a big win for Nigeria on Saturday evening as they beat Algeria 3-1 in Uyo, making it their second win of Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifying officially making Nigeria become the first team to defeat Les Verts of Algeria by two goals since Ivory Coast at AFCON 2015.

A goal from captain John Mikel Obi and two from fellow Chelsea teammate Victor Moses sealed the win for Gernot Rohr's men despite a fightback from Algeria in the second half.

Victor Moses put the Super Eagles in front after 26 minutes with a low shot from inside the area after Hicham Belkaroui failed to defend well and then in the 42nd minute, Mikel Obi received a well timed straight pass while in the 18 yard box and then slotted into the net after looking up at the linesman to see if he would be flagged offside.

Algeria with top players like Mahrez of Leicester City already in their ranks, then attacked ferociously in the second half as Bentaleb canvassed a brilliant shot into the top corner in the 52nd minute.

With two minutes to go before the end of the match, Victor Moses sent the fans at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo into ecstacy, as he scored his second of the night in stoppage time after beating the keeper at the near post with a good placed shot.

Nigeria are now top of their World Cup qualifying group after Cameroon were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Zambia, making it six points from two matches for Gernot Rohr's men.

No Nigerian player as Aubameyang, Yaya Toure & Riyad Mahrez lead BBC African player of the year shortlist

Rio Olympics Bronze winning captain Mikel Obi, Man City star Kelechi Iheanacho and Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi were not nominated as BBC announced its shortlist for its African player of the year award with players Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew, Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure making up the five-man shortlist.

Borussia Dortmund and Gabon striker Aubameyang is on the shortlist for the fourth consecutive year, Leicester city and Algeria forward Riyad Mahrez has been rewarded for his stellar year with Leicester while Manchester City's Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure also appears on the list.

The other two players nominated are West Ham/Ghana attacking midfielder Andre Ayew who has won the award in 2011 and Liverpool/ Senegal player Saido Mane. The nomination list was announced during a live broadcast at BBC's headquarters in London on Saturday evening. The winner of the 2016 BBC African footballer of the year award will be announced on Monday, 12 December and will be decided by fans who can vote from now till 18th November.

LeBron James grew up rooting for the Yankees but is pulling hard for the hometown Indians.

CLEVELAND (AP) -- LeBron James has traded teams this October.
The Cavaliers superstar, who once wore a New York Yankees cap to a playoff game Cleveland, is swinging hard for the Indians.
James has been sending positive messages on social media toward the club, which hosts the Boston Red Sox in the American League Division Series starting Thursday night. James can't make the opener because his wife, Savannah, has a commitment, but he plans to be at Progressive Field on Friday for Game 2.
James posted a message to the Indians on Instagram, writing: "Light it up tonight, boys!! Tribe has us feeling some type of way in October."
The three-time champion, who helped end Cleveland's 52-year pro sports title drought in June, grew up rooting for the Yankees - and the Dallas Cowboys. He received heavy criticism in 2007 from Cleveland fans for wearing the Bronx Bombers cap to Game 1 of the ALDS that year. The Indians routed the Yankees 12-3 and won that series in four games.
The 31-year-old has shifted his allegiance to the Indians and he's not a bandwagon jumper, either. He attended their game on Aug. 20, when the Indians rallied and won on a game-ending, inside-the-park homer.
"That was unbelievable," James recently told The Associated Press. "The atmosphere that night was incredible. Those guys are playing great."
When the Cavs won their title, rallying from a 3-1 deficit to stun the Golden State Warriors, the Indians had just begun a winning streak that would last 14 games. The Indians acknowledged feeding off the energy created by James and his teammates.
"It gave positive vibes around the stadium and gave positive vibes to the fans," second baseman Jason Kipnis said. "Everyone was in a better mood. The sun was shining. There was no longer that dark cloud over Cleveland. LeBron didn't throw any shutouts for us or hit any home runs, but at the same time, the Cavs winning it all took that pressure away of bringing home the first title."
Manager Terry Francona has season tickets to the Cavs, whose Quicken Loans Arena is right near the Indians' ballpark. He attended several playoff games and has become a favorite of Cavs free-agent guard J.R. Smith, who has been showing up at Indians games while his agent tries to get him re-signed.
Francona managed the Red Sox to two World Series titles with the first in 2004, ending Boston's 86-year title drought. For him, one of the keys to success is to focus on the present and not worry about the past.
"We can't play for - I was telling the group a couple weeks ago - it's not my fault my dad didn't win," Francona said of his father, Tito, who played six seasons in Cleveland's outfield. "This is hard enough to win when you're playing good teams. But to go back 50, 60, 70 years, it's not fair to anybody.
"We're trying to stay in the moment because that's the best way to go about doing good things."

Playing at Oracle Arena for the first time this preseason, the Warriors got the home crowd on their feet early and often as the Dubs built an insurmountable lead in the first half and carried it to a 120-75 victory over the Clippers on Tuesday night. Klay Thompson led all scorers with 30 points on 14 shots, including six three-pointers, while Kevin Durant produced a superb all-around effort, compiling 21 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in just 25 minutes.
